Physical characteristics:
This perennial grows to approximately 10 cm in height. It thrives on rocky formations, with succulent leaves that are opposite and that vary in shape from round to ovate. The inflorescence is corymbose, with each flower having five petals.

late August to mid-October
Habitat:
from sea cliffs to rocky areas in the alpine zone
Other information:
There is a theory that plants with pointed leaf tips are classified as apoimisebaya (Hylotelephium cauticolum f. montanum).
Japanese name origin:
“Misebaya” is an archaic word meaning “I want to show you.” The name comes from an old story in which a monk from Mount Yoshino sent this flower along with a waka poem as a gift.
