Physical characteristics:
This perennial grows to approximately 40 cm in height. The leaves are ternate (divided into three) two or three times, with slender leaflets that are about 3 cm long, thick, and glossy. The inflorescence has thread-like secondary bracts.

from the foothills to the peridotite terrain in the alpine zone

Japanese name origin:
The “to” means “now,” and the “ki” means “return home.” The name comes from an ancient Chinese story in which a wife, neglected by her husband due to illness, was cured after taking herbal medicine. She then wrote a poem saying, “My beloved husband, you should now return home.”
